A Tale of Dust & Sand
Morocco
A garden island city-state of international renown that refuses to be overlooked by its size.
Beyond that bridge just south of Malaysia, one is always awed by the international accomplishments of Singapore despite its small size. And to live there for a while just before the Covid-19 pandemic, was quite the interesting experience of self-discovery within a society and culture that is both similar, yet quite so foreign at the same time. Beyond its curated gardens [such as Gardens-by-the-Bay], it was most fascinating to see what lay within its pockets of [generally untouched] greenery. And the architectural vestiges of the British rule such as the colonial black-and-white house of Riders Cafe [which was one of many hidden within the trees].
